The owner (Roger) was so awesome. Such a great place for music/art/history on the region. He let's you know what is going on in town - best events, music, eats, etc. And he is the honcho that has helped set up all of the music/film festivals for Clarksdale...so he is the real deal.

I've been visiting this store since 2006, and I always want to buy everything in it! I enjoy browsing, buying gifts, and bringing tourist-friends into this place I love the colours inside and the quirky exterior. I love that it always seems to be decorated for Christmas. I love the mini-music festivals that Cat Head hosts during the year. They... More

If you want to know where to find great music in Clarksdale - go here first. The owner is a blues aficionado and has been an instrumental figure in Clarksdale's revival. Also - great music selection!

Excellent selection of music, a lot of it hard to find elsewhere. Significant collection of less well known artists. The contribution that Cat Head makes to the community is amazing.

Roger Stolle, the owner, is a transplant from St. Louis. Stop by and talk with him about the rejuvenation of the blues in the delta...he actually played a big part. AND, "Honeyboy" Edwards played his last gig on the front steps of Roger's store...

Rodger"s suggestions as to where to go and which music to listen to were invaluable. This store should be your first and last stop in town. First stop for advice and last stop because after hearing so much great music you'll want to stock up on CDs.

We stopped here briefly on our way through Clarksdale, having read the reviews on TA. It's a little difficult to describe the range of interesting and funky folk art items in the shop; you just have to visit. There were many books about the Blues and history of the Blues, and I was interested in identifying a book that would... More

Great folk art & ambiance friendly proprietor. We purchased a couple of prints. The great paintings and assemblage art was out of our budget range but super cool.
