Unusual Welcome Center

This is a welcome center on Hwy 82. It closes by 5 pm but the restrooms are open 24/7. It's nice to have a welcome center on a U.S. Highway, not an interstate.

Not only what you expect, but even more. They have a little bit of everything from some museums in the area. Hermit the frog, Warfield Point, City Museum, the blues...makes you want to go look at the real thing. Even had some stuff on the Mississippi Bicentennial which I thought was kinda cool...

My son calls it the castle boat. We have lived near it his whole life and he asks to visit all the time. They have a tiny little museum upstairs and clean bathrooms. Good stop to let the kids get out and stretch their legs on a road trip OR a free way to get the little ones out of... More

The host was informative and the tiny museum representative of the area. There are wonderful backdrops for photographs. It is a quick stop but nice.

Nice welcome center plays up the river heritage. Great info on the delta. Ask about the water. It will get your attention for sure.

I travel to Greenville frequently and never see visitors at this center...another government waste of tax payer funds!!! Greenville is not large enough, nor interesting enough to have this center that should be long closed.

Stopped by here on our way out of Greenville ms. Lady at front desk was very helpful and even gave us a booklet for sweet potatoes that had recipes in it! Up stairs was a small exhibit nothing large but did have Kermit the frog inside! Although it was kinda warm up there. Was a neat little exhibit for our... More

The staff at the Welcome center were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They provided great maps and brochures and information about local and surrounding area sites. This is a great place to start your adventures in the Delta area.

this welcome center was once a display at the World's Fair in Louisiana and was transported to its present site and floats in a small bayou. The replica of an old steamboat, it has tour, restaurant, attraction and hotel information. A great place to stop.
