The museum has several fascinating exhibits. I most enjoyed the ones highlighting species native to Mississippi. Also, there are terrific nature trails that go back to the Pearl River, including a bridge over Eubanks Creek.

Fun for kids and adults. Nice way to spend a few hours in air conditioning. The grand kids really enjoyed it.

We took our nieces and nephew to the museum almost a year ago. It is a large museum with many different exhibits. I've visited Jackson off and on for almost 3 years now and it seems the museum changes out their main exhibit pretty often, which helps keep it fresh and interesting. Even though all 3 children had been to... More

They have amazing exhibits of Mississippi wildlife. The only downside is they don't tell you all the creatures they have on display. Showing is awesome but learning about them is even better!

Mississippi summers are miserable and we are always looking for indoor activities for the kids! The MMNS met our needs and we keep going back! There are great exhibits about the state that stay on site and then traveling exhibits that are all part of the admission fee. Make sure to check out the fish and turtles!

My son is 7. Although he enjoyed the museum, I believe that he would have had a better experience if it had been more hands on.

When you walk these trails, you do not feel like you are in MS or anywhere else in the south. The area seems untouched by man. Definitely recommended.
