Listening to the volunteer tell us a bit of the history made the tour more meaningful. Walter Anderson must have been "quite a guy." There is an intro movie that we did not have time to view. It's well worth a visit.

The person at the reception desk provided a good introduction to this wonderful small museum. Walter Anderson had a unique vision of the world that surrounded him and he painted what he saw. Don’t miss it if you visit Ocean Springs!

Walter Anderson is truly one of the most underappreciated artists in American history. He really should be up there with the greats. Just take a walk to understand this often misunderstood genius. The community center that he did the murals for can hold it's own...More

The collection of his work in the museum is impressive, but the mural in the community center is something truly amazing and profound. A unique interpretation of the world as he saw it. One could spend hours there and still find more to discover.

While visiting friends on the Gulf Coast we checked out the Walter Anderson Museum of Art. I did not know much about Mr. Anderson's art but he is an American treasure. The setting is beautiful and gives insight into his art.

Not much to it. It is a okay visit if you have nothing else to do or bored or at Peter Anderson Festival. The place is really not much to it
