This is a small campground, 52 sites. I would recommend reservations, as they were full the whole time we were there.Although this is part of the Gulf Islands National seashore, you are not close to the gulf. It is in the marsh. There are alligators sunning themselves, and lots of turtles No swimming!.There are some hiking/biking trails, very well maintained.... More

What a nice place to just take a walk around this seashore. Beautiful view of the gulf. Weather was just right. This seashore was just a few blocks away from where we were staying.

I'm so glad we stumbled on this treasure! Loved wandering through this area. Really enjoyed the Davis Bayou. Saw my first alligators in the wild! Beautiful landscapes for photography.

We live a short distance from the national seashore and go as often as we can. My young son loves it. We ride bikes, have picnics, go fishing, catch crabs and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Not a planned stop but saw the signs and went to explore, spending almost 3 hrs exploring the various sites and watching wildlife, from alligators, leopard toads, turtles and birds to multi coloured butterflies. Go to visitor centre before you start to get a picture of the park and up to date info on best places to see wildlife from... More

We learned a lot about the area at this place. The Park rangers were very welcoming and helpful. Our kids got to become Junior rangers during our time there. We highly recommend visiting this National Seashore area.

This beach is very quiet and nice. They allow dogs (on leash) which was a plus for me. It was very quiet and clean, the water was warm and clean as well.

I've spent quite a bit of time in Gulf Shores and Biloxi. I think this area is so much more enjoyable than Panama City to Pensacola. It's quieter, less congested, and much prettier. You can drive along the beach forever and park anywhere you want. You can have a fire on the beach. Fishing is so much fun. The restaurants... More

"GINS" has been a favorite attraction for us since we moved here in 1986. Whether visiting the barrier islands offshore by boat or taking guests to the "main office," THIS is a worthy destination. The "main office" building has been redone since Katrina and the displays are MUCH BETTER. It's especially educational for young people who will enjoy doing the... More

Travelled to Ocean Springs, MS for the weekend July 30-August 1. The National Seashore is a beautiful spot just outside the town. Excellent Visitor's Center with so much information about the Seashore and the Gulf Island preserves from Florida to Mississippi. They have a 30 minute film in a lovely/comfortable theater room as well as display boards and cases. Lots... More
