Stop 2 of 3
Dec. 2019
This was our second stop on our self guided wine tasting tour. The fact that the tasting room is closed off made this experience feel personal, and the staff were exceptional. Some carry away food for sale up front was appreciated, but you cannot eat in the Tasting Room, so worry about buying food later if you can wait. Had a great time here.

Fun visit
Dec. 2019 • Friends
We visited the winery as a group of four adults. We had five kids with us and they were offered juice and welcomed to sit anywhere away from the bar during the tasting. The server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He made recommendations based on what we liked and disliked, he gave us new glasses if we sampled a wine that was very different than our others, and he made suggestions for things other than wine that were available in the store. We made a purchase that we would not have normally bought because of a sample he offered. We will be happy to visit again.

Waste of time

We were looking to sample and buy some wine. When we went for tasting , we were told they were out of about half of their bottles . We sampled a few , with very little help , and moved on to a Real winery .

Good Wine Tasting
Oct. 2019 • Friends
This winery had several good wines and a great employee to guide us through the tastings. My friend and I are mainly dry wine drinkers and taste whenever we travel. We have been up and down California wine regions so we were surprised by the quality we encountered in Missouri.
Most we liked were off dry, but these are what I like to have on hand for friends & family who don’t like my dry reds.
We left with a case. 🤭

Super tasty and welcoming!

Stopped in to sample some wines and was blown away by how friendly and knowledgeable the staff was! You can tell that everyone there really enjoys their job. Loved everything I sampled and walked away with a bottle of Vidal Blanc and their sherry! If you are looking to sample wine, or enjoy a glass/ bottle this is the place to go!

Bad Wine and Not a Real Winery
Sep. 2019
This is a giant store with a couple of employees. The cashier took us over to the tasting room. We were the only ones there and they gave us a list to choose from. I see that others had to choose before they entered the tasting room, but that was not the case for us. I did not even finish the tasting because I did not like any of the wines. They were awful.

Wine tasting area needs updating. You had to pick what you wanted to taste before you could even get in the tasting area.
Server was nice, once he finished organizing what was in the cooler. Felt rushed. Retail space needs updating as well. Bought 1 bottle of wine.

Just Okay
Sep. 2019
Wasn't crazy about the wine we tasted here and we were stuck with a large group which made the tasting drag on forever in the format they do it. Admittedly the gentleman tasting with us told us he was usually back of the house, but he got a little grumpy at the guests when they got chatty or didn't follow the rules.

5 complimentary tastes are offered but the truth is we got 7! The server was very personable and knowledgeable. Right next door to St. James. Well worth a visit!

Is this really a winery?
Aug. 2019 • Couples
We go to wineries every place we travel to and I can honestly say I have never been greeted with go over to the wine storage shelf and pick out what you want to taste. What?? We go into the tasting room and the employee couldn’t describe any of the wine if her life depended on it. This place felt like a wholesale clearinghouse for wine.
