We drove out to see the area sights and it is just beautiful! We wish they had more pull-off places to take scenic pictures. It is so clean and well kept.

It was quite impressive! We took a tour with Ride the Ducks, which took us over the dam, and into the lake. Such a beautiful place. Everyone needs to see this.

Compared to some of the few dam's I've seen, this one is very large and well maintained. It has some nice views of the lake and the area sights are worth a stop.

The Army Corps of Engineers are amazing people. Their ability to build and keep up the dams are incredible. There is a driveway across the the dam and some excellent photo ops. There is also a visitor's center and tours.

I was hoping for a dam tour, or at least seeing the turbines in action. But, due to low water that was not the case. The museum shows a good history of the dam and its importance to that part of Missouri and Arkansas.

A very nice drive, access to a beach on one side and the state park on the other has a very nice walking trail.

When we went there was histories flooding, and it was so cool. We could see it from a long way away. Really enjoyed it.

Yes anyway downstream of the dam. Artificial bait only. Right where the hatchery exits into Taneycomo is very popular.
