This is a small place but it has a nice little educational area with several terrariums and aquariums. Watch the movie before heading out to the hatchery. It does a great job of explaining the purpose of the hatchery. Then head outside and feed the...More

The grandchildren love feeding the fish. They have machines that have the fish food. The cost is 25 cents. It doesn't cost to get in. But you can give donations.

The Fish Hatchery does a great service to sportsmen and the environment. The guides for the tour are knowledgeable. This is a great activity for all ages.

We enjoyed the trip to the fish hatchery. This place is free!!!!!! Time well spent learning about the fish. Bring quarters if you want to feed the fish and watch a free for all for the food occur. The fish go crazy for the food....More

This is a freebie and is worth the short drive to the base of the dam. They have a short film that is very worthwhile and different animal species of Missouri on display. They also have literally hundreds of trout of varying sizes in growing...More

Fun for a quick visit. Even the teenagers liked. I would recommend bringing a small cup or Ziploc bag to put the fish food in.

The hatchery was a nice pit stop during the day. Plenty of young fish to feed and awesome facts to learn about the local fish. It was a free educational experience worth the stop!

We took my brother who is mentally challenged & he had a great time feeding the fish. It is one of the few free attractions in the Branson area - (only had to pay for fish food $.25).

We did not see a gift shop. There is an attendant inside the office to answer questions, etc. And there is a small room that shows a video / informative movie that plays every 30 minutes or so... But nothing to buy.

There may be a few things to purchase, but there's not an actual gift shop.
