It was recommended to take a tour of the Hatchery. IT'S FREE...they provide a guided tour where someone will inundate you with lots of information about the Hatchery and Taneycomo Lake. You don't have to take the guided tour. We learned that they release 600k...More

Great place to see the history in the museum and all the fish in the hatchery. It is located right below the dam so you can also see people fly fishing.

Really cool experiance. They have snakes as well as fish in their indoor visitors portion, out side is really cool as well. You can see how a hatchery works as well as let your young children run around as it is a very safety conscientious...More

You can see all stages of a fishes life here. they have indoor and outdoor tanks with coin op dispensers selling fish food. If you've run out of money, (not hard to do in Branson) this is a free attraction.

A fish hatchery doesn't really sound that fun but it was one of my favorite stops on our trip! Something different to see and adds variety to your vacation, and it's free! I learned all about the process of raising trout for the lakes(watch video...More

We enjoyed an educational afternoon. There are enough facts even to keep a college student interested.

We had a good time here. Make sure you bring quarters to feed the fish. If you just plan to walk around an look in the tanks, you won't probably find this very fun or enjoyable, but our family was easily able to fill about...More

We did not see a gift shop. There is an attendant inside the office to answer questions, etc. And there is a small room that shows a video / informative movie that plays every 30 minutes or so... But nothing to buy.
