This is a great little park to camp for a weekend. The hiking trails are all very well marked and maintained. However, be aware of poison ivy right along most of the trails. They can also be pretty muddy after a rain. We camped in Campground #2 which is all gravel. Some of the sites are pretty steep for the... More

Wallace is a great place to spend an afternoon fishing, picnicking, hiking, or a weekend camping. This park is one of Missouri's smaller parks but it is still very pretty. We walked the walking trail which was very scenic and peaceful. We haven't been camping here yet but it has nice camp grounds, having both basic and electric sites. They... More

We stopped here just to stretch our legs and found a pretty lake and lots of trails. Although we only walked by the lake, the children did take advantage of the playground. The whole park is among beautiful trees and is quiet. There was also a nice pavilion that could accommodate a large group. Nice park.

If you love trees, this is the best campground around. Most campsites have great screening for privacy between sites. The camp hosts were very accommodating, and the shower house was really clean. We'll definitely be back!

Several trails are available for a walking pleasure. Most can trails ( maybe 5) are blazed without distraction from other visitors.

4 of us went on our annual camp out and tried Wallace State Park this year. We are elderly ladies, camping in a tent. We bring no children and don't really require a lot. Wallace Park was very clean easily accessible from the highway with a cute town nearby to pick up any needed supplies. The only downside would be... More

Went camping here this past weekend. Very well kept park with primative camping, camping spots with electricity and camping spots with both electricity and water, as well as R/V hookups! They also have free showers included in a very nice indoor restroom area. That facility was very clean and well kept as well! They also have laundry facilities! Nice lake!... More

Wallace state park in Cameron MO is a beautiful and involved place to visit. With bbq'ing, hiking, and fishing there is plenty to do with their day use areas. If you plan or want to be there longer, their camping areas are very accommodating. Besides the above mentioned activities, campers have access to a complete bath house and laundry facilities....
