Murals, river views, bridge views, and great for relaxing.

Been here several times. The murals on the town side of the flood wall give a great history of Cape Girardeau. Free parking nearby and is wheel chair accessible. You can walk... read more

Stayed overnight, so before moving on, we lingered in 'Maha Rushies' hometown and look around. Stopped to take in the view of the mighty Mississippi. Nice, bridge was pretty too. A photo op.

The Cape is trying everything to bring people downtown and this viewing point for the bridge across the MS River is part of it. Not much to do but snap a picture and move on...but congrats to the town for doing everything they can to get folks off 55.

Been here several times. The murals on the town side of the flood wall give a great history of Cape Girardeau. Free parking nearby and is wheel chair accessible. You can walk as much or as little as you like as there is plenty of Park to walk along. Im estimating its about a mile long total, with steps and... More

Built on the Missouri side approach of an old bridge destroyed for the new bridge that is most of the view you are treated to one of the best river overlooks in town. Despite what you may think when approaching on Morgan Oak Street the park is safe to include night views. The immediate area is the best place for... More

The new bridge, which is a stunningly beautiful piece of engineering, is seen in all its glory from this little park. The view of the bridge and the river is stunning, and it's a great place to sit and get away from the hustle and bustle for a few minutes. Not much to do, but that's what makes it special.... More

Grab one of the benches on the hillside overlooking the river. Amazing bridge one direction, remnants of old bridge to the other and Mighty Mississippi in front. Tree filled landscape adds to delightful visit. Take time to read the photo boards -- submarines here in years past -- yes really. River towns are special, perhaps none more so than Cape... More

Very pretty view, awesome bridge. The park was very pretty, with some large old trees and a shaded paved walkway.

The river front wall mural telling the history of Missouri is one of the most beautiful if not the most beautiful murals ever. There aren't enough words to describe it. The art work is wonderful , the historical content good, and is just so appeals to all.

Nice view of the river, a little history lesson, good photo ops, nice view of the new bridge. The day we were there, the weather was very nice, and there were some workers there that gave us a very short talk about the flood in 1993. Good view of the flood wall.
