I was a good day to spend exploring the different types and species of butterflies. The children enjoyed Faust Park, the Carousel and the playground as well.

My husband and I recenlty rode this after we visited the Butterfly House. Not many adults were on the ride, but I didn't care. It had been so long since I was on a carousel, I wanted to ride this one.

The carousel was $2 per ride or 3 rides for $5. Our kids, 9 and 10, enjoyed it. The calliope music played while it went around. The ride was about 3 minutes long. They had nice restrooms too! The whole park is beautiful!

I took my young grandson and he really enjoyed it. This is an in expensive activity that you can combine with going to the Butterfly House. Great activity for a cold or rainy day in St. Louis area.

This is a 1920's carousel and has a rich St. Louis history. It's was originally at the Forest Park Highlands, and survived when the Highlands burnt in 1963. The carousel was donated to St. Louis Parks and moved to Sylvan Park, until eventually finding its...More
