Learned a lot at the interpretive center and enjoyed touring the buildings that include Mark Twain & Becky Thatcher's homes. My kids (12 & 9) were interested in many of the exhibits.

Preservation and progress make strange bedfellows. What was best about this museum was read in the exhibits or seen on screen. The "home" seemed anticlimactic. However, Hannibal in its entirety did not disappoint. It was a lovely trip.

This was well worth the time. It had great history and even my teenagers were interested. Everything was well documented and explained.

If you've never been to Hannibal, and even if you have, seeing the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum is essential in making your visit complete. If you are a fan of Twain's writing you'll love seeing the home in which he lived.

The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum suggests allowing at least an hour to view the historic homes and two interactive museums. But you could easily spend more time with all of the information available.
