Plan in advance and make reservations if going on a school day. The tour includes the first floor of the governor's mansion and is very informative. Children might not enjoy it as much as adults, but it is interesting.

If you take the time to go to the capitol, definitely go to the governors mansion to check it out. Another must see thing.

My time was unfortunately very limited but I did enjoy viewing the exterior of the mansion and getting some great pictures. It's quite a unique building.

The Missouri Governor's mansion is a beautiful building with the acting Governor and family having a residence on the second floor.

Nice place to have to live if you are lucky enough to be elected governor The mansion is well planned and is a treasure. The portraits of the first ladies are somewhat gaudy me but do show the different periods

Interesting short tour. Women giving tours dressed in 1800s period clothing. Knowledgeable guides. Tour only covered main floor.

Full of history and beauty. The Mansion is especially beautiful during the Christmas season. The exterior resembles the haunted mansion at Disneyland. Very cool.

Docents provide guided first floor tours of the mansion. A clear explanation of history and furniture tract back of its construction in 1871. Still used by current first family on second floor, the mansion and Docents are delightful.

To your right are two parlors. Moving forward you'll find a large spiral stair case, taking you to the 1st Family living quarters. To the rear of the Grand Hall,you'll... More
