Parking is easy. You can even eat lunch here. I live in Kansas City and have been here several times. If you come to Kansas City and don't go and see this wonderful art collection then you can't really say you have been to Kansas City, you just passed through. Don't let the fact that it is free fool you... More

What an amazing art museum! A beautiful building and grounds and then there is the art! Admission to the museum is free unless you want to see the rotating exhibits. The parking garage is $8. The Bloch galleries are impressive. So many amazing paintings and sculptures. Our favorites were the French impressionists and the Asian sculptures. On lobby level there... More

The museum was so big!!! It was Gorgeous. I loved it and it was free!! The workers in there were nice. You could bring the backpack with you but you had to hold it in front of you not on you back. There were lots of interesting things to see. I was impressed.

Free to visit and enjoy. Remember they are closed on Monday and Tuesday so plan accordingly. Grounds are nicely maintained.

I have been to the Art Galleries in London and Paris, the Nelson Atkins is an Art museum comparable to the best. The floor plan is more a natural history of art. A beautiful museum of architecture, wonderful sculptures in the grounds outside and a must visit for art lovers.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum has just added a glorious new wing with Impressionists paintings donated by Henry and Marion Bloch. Their extensive private collection of Monets and Manets and Degas and Cezannes, etc is now in a newly built space in the gallery. The space is beautifully done and the art work is beautiful. Since the opening of this new permanent... More

I have been to multiple museums, dc, chicago, Dallas, ny, and this one is right up near the top. They had a wonderful mix of all types of art, from Ancient Greek and Egyptian to Asian and European. This place seemed to go on for ever. I wished we would have had another hour, because we only did roughly half... More

I could of spent all day there, but my husband breezed through and I felt rushed!!! If you love art, take someone with you who loves art so you can take your... More
