There are a lot of fountains in Kansas City, and they compose one of the most pleasant features. Set in parks, plazas, shopping areas. They provide a great break from the city landscape.

Great way to spend a nice weekend with a loved one. Make sure to take the time to see all the fountains and I recommend doing it during the Fall season.

Visiting the different fountains in Kansas City is a great way to spend a Saturday! Of course, they are much prettier when they are running, & the lights are on. They are also pretty spectacular in the winter, when the ice has built up!

The art, fountains and riverbanks are amazing in this city. A bus tour is advised so that you get to know your way around. Park the car and use the three dollar a day bus and free trolley buses. Stunning city but need to go...More

It answer to your question in regards to the fountains, it really depends on Mother Nature for the time line.I have seen in past years they were still flowing the night of the traditional Plaza Lighting for Christmas.

There is a map available on the fountains. Look at them and check which way the light is coming from so you know the best time to shoot. (Go to the Arabia museum. Fascinating look at the past)
