We were in the 18th and Vine area when we went to see the Jazz Museum and Negro Baseball Museum. There are a few shops and restaurants in the area. Nothing big enough to make it worth a separate visit though.

What a great area... learn about the history of Kansas City Blues (Going to Kansas City), and the culture of this area. Super friendly people, and amazing vibe.

Stopped and parked at this locale. Purchased several items from street vendors. Weather was in our favor and it was a good and inexpensive visit.

The main draw here is the Negro League Museum and its exhibitions. A few restaurants and clubs dot the 2-3 block area and there is a baseball stadium dedicated to Satch. On occasion, there is music in the area.

The artist scene in Kansas City is alive and vibrant. Now couple that with Jazz and it's on fire! I love the First Friday's Event!
