The KC BBQ Museum is a bit of KC history. They have some past trophies, an award winning smoker and photos. When they move to their new location it will be greatly expanded.

This museum is a fun and interesting treat. We have toured it twice now, taking different family members each time. A fun memory each time. Hands on activities for children.

This is a free museum. We had the opportunity to visit it after leaving the Remodeling and Garden Show. It's a little wear worn. Some displays do not work properly any more. Still, there are interesting artifacts to views and history I was not aware of. Most of the children's hands on things are still available to experience. Should you... More

We were on a tour of the west bottoms and stopped by the museum for a brief tour. Our tour guide had a key to get us in. Although this place had some interesting items most of the interactive displays did not work. Since we are from KC we read the signs and recalled many of the events on display.... More

Was there to visit during the American Royal show. This was our first visit. We have gone to Ak-Sar-Ben the past 2 years and thought we would try something different this year. Unlike the children's activities at the Ak-Sar-Ben complex this was the only thing I found at the Royal for kids to do. It's obvious that at one time... More

Since the museum was locked when we went to the bbq event, it fits into the rating given. This was the biggest disappointmnet of our KC weekend. Lots of teams cooking bbq, but no good bbq to buy to eat. Many of the cooking team booths had trash all over & people did not seem intersted to talk to attendees.... More

I visited the museum July 9th, 2002. It was a bittersweet trip as I can remember both the old arenas and the new. I went into the museum, and as I was really interested in the horse show aspects I gave little attention to the cattle. I was looking over the displays and went around to view another one, and...
