I always find time to go to this museum. The work is modern and constantly changing and there is even a small café with great food

Don't miss this museum. The contemporary art on show is cutting-edge and well worth a visit. It's small and usually houses their own collection and temporary shows.

You don’t need to spend much more than about 30 minutes here, but if you’re interested in contemporary art, I would also say you shouldn’t skip it. It’s practically across the street from the Nelson-Atkins, so it’s very easy to include with a visit there....More

A nice museum with relatively small but intriguing collection. The collection is smaller than some of the larger museums in town but offers a nice variety and representation. The grounds feature some intriguing sculpture and I was very happy to spend an afternoon browsing here,...More

Smaller and more manageable than it classical neighbor the Nelson-Atkins down the street, the Kemper is the rare contemporary museum these days whose ultra-sleek architecture perfectly suits the work on display. This small but worthwhile space, consisting of fewer than a half-dozen rooms and a...More

The Kemper is perfect if you have a small amount of time and are interested in contemporary art. There are only about 4 galleries, but they are spacious and the art is well displayed. There are 3 large Chihuly glass sculptures inside and several other...More

Cool art gallery for contemporary art providing a nice compliment to the larger Nelson Art gallery across the street. Features a very nice café with excellent service and good food. Use to be one of my secret weapons as a single guy to impress smart...More

I saw the Rashid Johnson exhibit and spent time looking at other works of art. I noticed the art sparked questions, comments and conversation. This is what I enjoy about contempory art. It is not necessarity straight forward and very much up to interpretation.

We found easy (free) parking right by the rear doors. The lot was still open when we left.
