A fun place to learn about money!

I hate to piggyback off another review but Bob S from Omaha, Nebraska said it all! I only planned on staying for a 1/2 hour or so, but I ended up staying for over an hour and I... read more

I should probably preface this, I'm a coin geek and collector, but this place was AWESOME!! Free admission, free parking, some good perks (they give you a free bag of shredded $$$$ per person, discounts for the shop, buy-1-get-1 admission to WWI museum, etc.). Lot of interactive exhibits, really cool make your own money station, lots of stuff for the... More

We finished up at the World War I Museum and decided to check out The Money Museum (literally right across the street from each other). Spent around 45 minutes here learning about money and how banks work together. It was awesome to see how our coin money has changed since the days of George Washington; fascinating! Definitely take a look... More

I hate to piggyback off another review but Bob S from Omaha, Nebraska said it all! I only planned on staying for a 1/2 hour or so, but I ended up staying for over an hour and I still didn't experience everything! I'll be back on my next visit to KC!

I had a day in Kansas City waiting for my flight and I decided to go find the Money Museum at the Federal Reserve Bank. Driving down was a bit confusing, so if you're a visitor, depend on your GPS. The Money Museum is really just one big room with lots of displays on the walls and in the middle.... More

The Money Museum was a billion dollar experience! We learned all about USA financial system. Many exhibits explaining everything you would ever want to know about the economy, banking and the Federal Reserve. This event is FREE! We were encouraged to take home a free bag of shredded currency.

Parking is free, self guided tour is free! It's not a big tour but it is very interesting! We were there at the same time as a school group that was not as interested and just wanted to play. Knowing that, I would say kids may not enjoy it as much as adults.

This museum is good if you are running out of things to do. There is free parking and the museum is free. You need to go through metal detectors. I didn't find it extremely interesting. They do give you a small bag of shredded money as a free souvenir.

As part of the Federal Reserve, this is a neat place to visit. You visit on a self guided tour and can see quite a bit in a very short amount of time. Seeing all that money in one location is amazing! Visiting is free, but remember to bring your ID so that you can enter the facility. If you're... More

The money museum portion is very economics based and will quickly cause many people's eyes to glaze over, unless you are a business or economics person. However, watching the verification process of currency, peering into the vault, and seeing how it is fully automated is pretty neat. You can literally watch as stacks of $10million in currency roll past. They... More

Free museum.. bring i.d. The coin collection was very interesting. My young kids enjoyed creating their own money by making imprints with crayons, getting a free bag of shredded money and creating a bill with their pictures on it on a computer. Better exhibit for adults or older children. (2, 4 and 6 year old were ready to go after... More
