We visited the Pompeii exhibit on a Monday morning around 10:30. Our family of 5 paid a total of $96. This exhibit was very informative and really did a fantastic job describing not only the lifestyle of Romans but also their last moments. Total time spent here was about 1.5 hours. We've visited other exhibits (BUGS and Titanic) in the... More

My family and I went to lunch at Harvey's at Union Station - a gorgeous restaurant in the middle of the large, open station area. The food was among the best I've had in Kansas City - I had the grilled fish tacos...fabulous. Their sunday brunch is spectacular for $23/head. We then saw Beauty and the Beast at the Regnier... If you are around Kansas City before may 29, consider a stop at the special exhibit on Pompeii on the lower level of union station. Lots of interesting artifacts, video recreations of how the city looked and a good background into inderstanding why all the residents did not flee before it was too late. Beautiful frescoes, mosaics, jewelry, statues and... More

The exhibit was well designed. Mood lighting and music appropriate. It was a little too dark at times, making it hard to read the exhibit's sign cards. Special effects in the theater were effective. Seating was provided throughout the exhibit for those who needed to rest. The "brothel" exhibit was in a closed off area so you could skip it,we did.... More

I went here during the Human Body exhibit and it was pretty neat. Cool location, right in the heart of Kansas City.

I have never been to Kansas City before but I was told this was a must stop. We walked in and were amazed by the building. We enjoyed the miniature trains that were at Union Station.

Union Station has something for everyone, no matter the age. Love the variety of special exhibits. We enjoyed having lunch at the restaurant right in the center of all the energy of Union Station.

I brought two groups of adult museum members from St. Joseph, Missouri. It's a travel club of sorts. The first date for the trip sold out, so I even had to add a second day trip to accommodate the demand. They enjoyed it all from the beautiful building to the Pompeii exhibition, which was the temporary exhibit at Union Station... More

I traveled on the Amtrak; however, I visited the Pompeii exhibit which was interesting. There is also a Science City as well as a theater. You can sit at the available chairs and benches and just "people watch" for hours.
