I simply cannot say enough about this place. The architecture and design are stunning inside and out. We love to go to the holiday performance by the symphony and have not been let down yet.

Attended the Nutcracker and it was a lovely event and would recommend visiting the center. It’s also a wonderful experience for children.

The Nelson has always been such an impressive gallery for a city of this size. The exhibits they get and have on permanent display are amazing. The newly opened Bloch exhibit that will remain on permanent display is on par with the Barnes exhibit, but...More

Excellent venue with two performance halls. If only it were easier to exit after a performance why not use both entrances and always have traffic attendants to direct traffic?

Thoroughly enjoyed the Handel's Messiah concert performed by the Kansas City Symphony and 250 member Symphony Choirs. This venue is visually stunning, and acoustically perfect for this sacred performance that is annually held in Kansas City each December. Also appearing at the same time in...More

There is a wide variety of performing arts opportunities in this extraordinarily fine facility. Seating is comfortable and roomy, with numerous views of the stages. Covered parking is available on-site as well as dining experiences. This is truly a crown jewel of Kansas City.

You do not need to pre-purchase a parking ticket. Parking is $10/event, payable when you pull into the garage. There is on -street parking but if it's a popular program, or if there are concerts in both halls, I found it a... More
