The central public library is a former bank. The interior is beautiful architecturally, with beautiful marble columns. The original bank vault is downstairs and houses an important film collection. The great think about this library is what happens there -- films screened on the roof,...More

We wandered in here for a few minutes just to escape the heat and enjoyed walking around looking at all the different art exhibits. In addition, it appears they have a very large area devoted to children. Was not traveling with grandchild on this trip,...More

This library system offers so much of great value to the Kansas City area. The lecture series offered free of charge every month is superlative and the book collection is wonderful with a fine staff to assist you at all times.

Great library, the kids section is much better than that of the plaza location. The outside of the parking lot is world renowned because of the book art .

We were there looking into their genealogical archives and could've spent a few more hours in that section. I would've liked to have had more time overall, but it was our last stop before the airport.
