I've taken guided-tours of all the Wright-designed homes in Oak Park (Chicago, IL) as well as some of his commercial buildings. The home in Ebsworth Park is an excellent example of his work at the apex of his career. If you already have an appreciation...More

This is an example of Wright's Utopian home. We have visited other Wright homes, but this is the one I found most interesting and it was right in my backyard! There are few square corners in this house!

For a diversion that will only take an hour or two, this sculpture called a house is yet another example of the genius of FLW. We're so lucky to have it preserved right in our own neighborhood.

A stunning example of FLW's Usonian style, the house was built for the Krauses in the 1950s at their request. After 10 years of fund-raising and negotiation it was bought by a trust to preserve it intact and has been carefully restored. All the furniture...More

Even if you do not 'geek-out' on architecture, the Kraus House will give you an opportunity to see an unusual yet beautiful house where even the mattress was designed by the architect.

This is an exceptional home. It contains all of its original Frank Lloyd Wright designed furniture. It has been beautifully restored! Our docent was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. You must make reservations to take the tour.

Great insight into Lloyd Wright's architecture. Our first visit to one of his homes; tour guide, Anne, told interesting stories; recommend this tour for anyone who likes to learn about unique homes and Usonian architecture.
