This is a lovely lodge, high on a bluff with gorgeous lake views. It is loaded with history about the lake and building the dam. Even if you're not a history buff, stop here and check the place out!

Free to visit. Beautiful building. Interesting history of the area. Well presented exhibits show you what it was like while the dam was being built.

I don't know how we've lived here so long and did not know about this treasure. If you are in the area it's well worth a visit, very educational, scenic and interesting indeed.

This is a great place to visit if you want to know about the history of the dam and lake. A real 1930 experience! And also a great view of the lake from the north shore! And it’s free!

This place was the worst stop of our entire spring break trip. There is free parking. That bathroom is limited to one stall. The building is historic & has displays down one hallway. We just could not believe how unfriendly the workers here were! There...More

What a spectacular building. It reminded me of the lodges that we have seen at National Parks. The view from the windows and the decks outdoors is spectacular also. We wound our way through an in depth and enthralling museum that tells all about the...More

It was free. However, the volunteer was so interesting and the exhibits so interesting that I bought a post card and put a small donation in the box (I think it was by the entrance?).
