A fun place to catch some history. Has an old movie theater, seeds, fabric and general store type things. There are apparently festivals held here.

Though we were too late to eat at the restaurant (which closes at 2), we loved walking around and into all the old buildings. They were nicely decorated to reflect a pioneer town and shopping. I'm impressed with their honor system, because the shops were...More

Seed shop had so many options and we spent a lot of time there. The lady working there was very helpful and took us outside a few times to show us the flowers that corresponded to the seeds when asked if they were available. Much...More

This site is worth stopping at and gives a glimpse into country life from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The seed store is amazing. The full color catalog could be a coffee table book for only $6.50. My elementary-aged daughter enjoyed seeing the animals,...More

We had a fantastic time- got to interact with local people and experience local culture, while also enjoying this little pioneer village. Kids loved watching people make yarn, weave fabric, stitch and sew. The live music was fantastic! Limited food choices.

I'm not sure if the village is open all the time or not. I was there for a festival. I do know they are always closed on Saturday. There was no fee when I went for the festival. I'm sure their website has more details
