Walt first came to Marceline by train when he was five years old. The Santa Fe train arrived at the depot that preceded the present-day one, which was rebuilt in 1913. When Walt returned to Marceline for the first time in 1946, the depot evoked his first memories of pulling into Marceline. So it is fitting that the museum dedicated to one of the most influential persons of the last century is housed in this restored Santa Fe Depot.

Fabulous little museum. Wonderful tribute to Walt Disney. Great insight into the making of the man and the parks. A must for any Disney lover. A little magical place in Missouri that allowed Walt Disney to bring his "hometown " to the world.

This is so worth it. You can just feel the magic looking at all the history of Walt and his family. We loved our guide Inez and my 6 year old loved the scavenger hunt she got to do throughout the museum.

Well off the beaten track, but not hard to find and a fairly easy trip from the highway. Small building, however, lots of displays inside. If you are a Disney fan, you came to the right place. If not, keep driving! I thought the $10...More
