Our tour guide was an archaeologist, geologist and historian - and Indian language singer - quite a guy. He talked knowledgeably and interestingly at whatever level of detail you cared to ask. Really enjoyed this - thanks.

This is a really cool cave because of the history behind it, and also the enormity of it. I would highly recommend any history buff to visit this place.

It's worth the side trip to Smallin Civil War cave to see the wonders of God-made nature. We arrived on a Monday morning & spent time perusing the gift shop & waiting for a tour to start. We were paired up with a hilarious, friendly & knowledgeable guide named Russ. Russ took us on a trip back in time, describing... More

I went here with some other environmental science and geology students. The cave is beautiful, but the tour guide got many of the scientific facts wrong. He gave wrong information about fossils and prehistoric creatures, as well as wrong information about many facts of geology. This was confusing to the kids who were with us, and we had to reteach... Missouri is known as the cave state and there are lots of great caves in Missouri and throughout the Ozarks region. I had the opportunity to see this cave as part of an elementary class field trip for my son. The cave is not too far off a major highway and is an easy drive on some very scenic two-lane... More

We recently participated in the Lantern Cave Tour and had an awesome experience. It was a time of: celebration of nature, exploration of history, and sampling of down home "campfire" cooking. The cave, even at nighttime, was beautiful. The stories around the campfire were interesting. We learned a few new items about the Civil War! And... the ham & beans,... More

My family had a great time at Smallin Civil War Cave Tour. We enjoy cave tours and when we travel, we always try to find local caves. Smallin is our local cave in Ozark Missouri. I highly recommend everyone take the opportunity to tour the Smallin cave.

We were heading home from our anniversary trip in Branson MO October 15,2016, when we started seeing signs for Smallin Civil War Cave. My wife was very drawn to this so we decided to check it out. Now mind you that we usually just head straight home with only stops for gas/restrooms/food. But this time we were so drawn to... More

We did the Wild Cave Tour and it was Awesome!! We arrived at 5:30PM and our tour lasted for about two hours. The owner "Kevin" was our guide and it was just my myself, wife and son on the tour, which made it very special. We learned allot about the history of the cave and the surrounding area. It is... We spend the afternoon at Smallin Cave. The property is beautiful and very well kept. The staff and owners are polite, personable and very knowledgeable. The tour is s nice walking path, all paved or walkways, which is impressive. Great effort has gone into making the cave kept in its natural beauty. The tour is about an hour, so it's... More
