With locations on both the Hermitage and Pittsburg sides of Pomme de Terre Lake, Pomme de Terre State Park offers a little bit of everything. A marina and boat ramps make it easy to get in the water and fish for bass, walleye, catfish, crappie, or muskie. Two public swimming beaches make for great places to cool off or laze the day away. Two hiking trails satisfy an appetite for adventure. And more than 250 campsites make the park ideal for multi-day getaways.

Camped at a tent site right on the edge of the water (literally 50 feet way) on the Hermitage side of the park. All the sites are in close proximity to the bathrooms/shower house. Everyone was very friendly and it felt very safe. Good location for fishing, boating and kayaking. A couple of easy hiking trails. Beach looked nice though... More

My Husband and I were scouting a location for a big camping weekend for our children and 10 grand kids. We were trying out the Yurt with the intention of reserving both yurts and 5 campsites for an early fall weekend of fun. The Yurt was great but unfortunately, The hosts acted put out that anyone wanted to camp on... More

We just got through spending a week here at this precious little park. The restrooms were clean, the park attendants friendly, and our spot was awesome. We love the little park store that is open now and they are serving ice cream that is YUMMY! The marina offers fishing for kids and our son caught 42 little ones and officially... More

My wife and I stayed at site 120 for 2 nights Friday and Saturday. The park is very clean and although we heard some reports of a tick problem I saw no difference here from anywhere else in Missouri this year. I was amazed at how clean the Vault toilets were and the fact that they did not smell bad,... More

My buddy and I stayed in one of the park's yurts this past weekend. If you haven't experienced one of these, they are great. A large tent like structure with a skylight. Thing even has A/C, lights, microwave, and a fridge. The lake was beautiful and not crowded. The park's marina had everything one would need and a very helpful... More

We frequently camp at the State Park in Pittsburg. It is always clean and well-maintained. This park has lots of shade compared to some of the Corps of Engineer campsites around the lake. The only drawback about all the trees is if you are pulling a large 5th wheel or have a motor home as the limbs are not always... More

Well first of all the sites grass was not cut the ticks and chiggers were so bad that you couldn't go any where without getting a tick. Secondly with all the trees in front of the camp sites made it hard for bigger campers to park. Thirdly the shower heads in the womens shower house beat you to death with... More

Beautiful lakeside RV park on Pittsburg side of reservoir. Wooded, lots of shade, nice rolling hills, most spots well-spaced and level. Camped in RV for three nights in space P226 right on lake and will definitely go back. Not very crowded on weekend in April. Excellent, attentive camp host.
