First trip here, and very impressed. Many shops and restaurants, all very accessible, mixed with and included in a historic setting. Great place for a fun stroll with family or friends. Lots of off-street parking. Highly recommended.

The district is the site of the first European settlement along the Missouri River and has preserved its late 19th and 20th Century architecture. This was Missouri's first State capital. The area has lots to offer and the local traders are extremely friendly. There are...More

The best way to see authentic "main street usa" is to come to St. Charles, MO. Take your time and slow the pace down with good food and the best ice cream around!

In the historic district, many of the shops are older, with steps up and some narrow aisles. My recollection tells me there may not be many stores that are easily accessible with a scooter. Hope that helps.
