Don't take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We're four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there's the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge.

Ok, this place rocks! It's visually stunning, of course. The stuff to climb on is fun, challenging, encourages some team work at times, and is just the best way to take a break from adulting for a couple of hours to play, swing, climb and slide! Oh my gosh, all the slides!!! I didn't give it 5 stars only because... More

City Museum is a great attraction for kids and active adults. Is sneaks in learning while kids run and adventure through the labyrinth of tunnels and slides. It was well-staffed and they were pleasant. There is a small bar for grown ups and a snack bar for the young-ones. Very loud with giggles and happy squeals and LOTS of business.... More

Don't miss out on this St Louis gem. This was our second visit and so glad we made the time. We had the opportunity to speak with Stone Carver Paul Bayer. What a fascinating guy and it was a pleasure to see his work.

This place was outstanding! We're not just talking about a place to take your kids for a little exercise, we're talking about a full fledge building of mazes, tunnels and fun! There is outside and inside structures to entertain for hours. While inside grab a drink, and some food! The art is fantastic, and always encouraged to touch and investigate.... More

Okay, no, this is not a museum. Well it kind of is, like the House on the Rock in WI is a museum (look it up), but really it's more of a playground for everyone. If you have kids, go here. If you're young and like to run around like a kid, go here. If you're old and tired, they... More

This place is such a great workout for adults and kids. Several areas for adventure - make sure you bring a small flashlight on a string! Or buy a shoestring flashlight there! The caves at the bottom and crawling is great if your kids listen and stay within distance of you since they are so small they can move really... More

My friend and I had such an amazing time at the City Museum. Definitly suggest purchasing the Roof Top access! I could have spent another 2 hours in the City Museum there was so much to look at, climb on, slide down, basically be a kid again!

The place has almost everything for every age of people especially for children. There are many activity you can enjoy and will take easily half of your day. Activity like climbing sliding through many different structures will be a lot of fun. Also there is a wheel on the top of the building which you can ride and enjoy . Also... More

I was tricked into going, and it was nothing like what I had in mind of a museum. We had three young ones with us and I must admit I think I had more fun going through all the tunnels with them than they did. It was very different. Do don't even think museum, try and think of a hands... More

This is quite an interesting and unique place. You could actually spend a couple of days in order to see it all. Very neat place to visit. Kind of pricey and not a real good place for the littler children but overall a good place to spend the day.
