Don't take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We're four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there's the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge.

I'm sore, bruised, I bumped my head a few times, and I loved every minute of it. City Museum managed to escape the mandatory bubble wrap in which the world has wrapped every activity and it's amazing. There's nothing like it. Climb high. Walk stairs...More

My wife and I just wanted a place to go so that we had something to do on a hot afternoon. It did not take long to realize that this museum catered to the younger crowd. This would have been a great place to take...More

Amazing surprise of fun and adventure for 3 50-something year olds! Brings out your inner child! Amazing architectural achievement and unending attention to details. One could spend a week finding things here!

Our kids (10, 8 and 5) ranked City Museum in St Louis above Disney, Universal, and Lego Land. If you have kids between 4 and 12... plan to spend the WHOLE Day here, it is fantastic. Tips: 1) Try to plan for a visit when...More

One of the best museums I've ever been to. It is so unique. We kept talking about the mind of the designer and what he must have been thinking. There is something for everyone. Unfortunately, we were there on the "busiest day they've ever had"...More

This is the kind of crazy thing that only exists in one place: St. Louis is lucky to have the City Museum. There's nothing quite like it anywhere, and as I wandered around, the thought that repeated itself was "I don't even know how to...More

The inside of the museum is nothing exciting, but the outside is a lot of climbing and slides that will occupy your children for hours. I really wouldn't call it a museum, but a giant jungle gym. We had a lot of fun, be prepared...More

It's what you do when in St. Louis. Voted the #1 family attraction in the world and you better do it if your in town. Parking is all around the building, however there is only one that is considered the "City Museum" lot and it...More

I am unsure of the term museum. It's a crazy climbing playground of slides, planes, buses, tubes. It's hard to describe. The outside of the building has most of the climbing so I would visit in good weather. The inside has an elaborate cave system....More

This place was well worth the time and money while visiting Saint Louis. Too many adjectives could be used to describe this place. Must see.

We do have stairs and if you set meeting points with your kids you can keep from climbing.
