Don't take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We're four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there's the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge.

This is a must for anyone visiting St Louis. Very hard to describe. City Museum is a bland name for a very unique place. Dress down. You will get a little dirty, and if you don't, then maybe you didn't do it right.

Teens and adults loved the City Museum in St Louis. Hours of activities we didn't get to explore in our 2 hour visit. Small children need closer monitoring as they could easily get lost as us adult moms did while looking for our sons. Re-purposing of items is genius. Exciting to see all the creations throughout the museum. Looking forward... More

You don't have to be a kid to enjoy the City Museum! This place is so much fun for people of all ages. I love going here, with and without kids, and climbing and exploring the museum. I recommend coming in the evenings on Friday and Saturday when you get a price discount and the museum is open really late.... More

This is a unique attraction but kinda scary. There are lots of nooks and crannies for kids to get lost/hurt in so they need to be monitored carefully. I cant lie its a creepy place, especially at night when I like to go but I love it.

I wished I would have had more time to spend here, but was only in the city for a conference so was unable to make it for more than an hour or so. It's on my return here someday list!

This was a spectacular thing for us to do! My 2 teenage kids had a wonderful time. There is something for all ages! We all crawled through the tunnels and cages. I HIGHLY advise you to wear athletic shoes with good traction, jeans or other ankle length pants and knee pads would be helpful...a lot of crawling through small spaces.... More

This is a top notch attraction for families with kids. An enormous playground with indoor and outdoor parts. The secret tunnels and passages are countless and make for an almost endless adventure. It's rather hard to actually describe it, but it has to be seen to be believedbelieved.

This is hands down the most imaginative place I have ever been. It is like a kid dreamed of the perfect place to explore and it came to life in City Museum. Take your kids, go by yourself or with friends, young and old alike will have a blast! So much to do, experience, and climb on. Every inch of... More

Took a bus load of elementary students and they had a blast. There is lots of hands on fun activities for the kids and lots of historical St. Louis artifacts for adults. Very large facility in downtown St. Louis.

So much fun, highly recommend for people of any age. I couldn't believe how much fun this old guy had. We arrived at 11:00 when it opened. By 1:30, it was getting very busy...Arrive early
