With the mission "to ignite and sustain lifelong science and technology learning", the Saint Louis Science Center is one of the top five science centers in the United States, and has been named one of the Top 10 Science Centers for Families by Parents Magazine and one of America's most visited museums by Forbes Traveler Magazine. The complex includes over 56,000 sq-ft of interactive science-technology exhibits that are part of the Science Center's free general admission. Opening in June 2016 is GROW, a one-acre outdoor exhibit that will take visitors on a journey of food, to gain a deeper understanding of our food supply. The Science Center's ticketed areas include the OMNIMAX, a four-story IMAX Dome theater; the James S. McDonnell Planetarium, one of the world's largest planetariums; and the Discovery Room, an activity area for families with younger children.

I would not call myself claustrophobic but by the time we finished our time at the Science Center, I felt I could not breathe. There were lots of interesting exhibits but we couldn't enjoy then because too many people. This place is definitely made with kids in mind which is why we took our three year old. But with so... My kids loved this place. (12,14) We ended up staying until it closed. If you have kids then I would definitely visit! We saw the eclipse show at the planetarium. I would recommend seeing a different show. The constellation one is probably the best or mission to Mars.

The Science Center is a great way to spend an afternoon with kids. We caught the Imax show (about plane travel; very good) and wandered around the exhibits. Learned a lot, too!

Fun for all ages. There were couples with and without kids they today. The interactive aspect was great for my 9 yr old. He really had a blast! We got there right at own and there was quite a crowd but everyone got in quickly and enjoyed the day!

This is a wonderful way to spend a day. And admission is free. We did spend a little on tickets for the Omni max (very much worth it). Lots and lots of interactive exhibits and plenty to keep us occupied for an entire day.

The Science Center is a must see place in St. Louis in my opinion. There are a number of ways you could actually do a science experiment that I found really awesome! It was the best spent 2 hours that I could've stayed for longer to discover more!

There is something for everybody there. There is no time to get bored. A lot of interactive exhibitions like the laboratory or the wind tunnel. We planned to spend a couple of hours and we stayed almost all day. This is absolutely worth it and it is FREE! Some exhibitions tend to look old but the interactive exhibitions and labs... More
