This is a must see in this area. The beautiful work of the millions of pieces of mosaics is breathtaking. Such painstaking work over many years created a masterpiece. The wood pews are gorgeous. The altar area is stunning.

Very beautiful church that is definitely worth a peek. A volunteer was on his way out as we were heading in but he was kind enough to give us the history of the church before he left.

I recommend taking the guided tour, the cathedral is massive and beutiful. The windows are amazing. IT's a little off the beat and path but worth a visit.

You have to remind yourself that this cathedral was not finished very long ago, because it looks like something that could be hundreds of years old. Beautiful mosaic ceilings.
