The Cathedral Basilica is a not miss stop while in STL. The church has one of the largest collection of mosaic art in the world. It is very impressive to see the art and makes you appreciate how the artists did them. There is a small mosaic museum in the basement of the church which is nice. It is so... More

Don't miss the opportunity to visit this cathedral. The marble, the mosaics, I have never seen anything like it. We did not book a tour, but did a self tour. Either way, it's an amazingly beautiful church.

Do not miss this incredible place! the mosaics are just out of this world, comparable with any church anywhere in the world. Just when you think there could not be anything more beautiful, you step into the next room and it is just...WOW. You can do a guided or self-guided tour. Great respite in the middle of the city. Enjoy!

The mosaic ceiling is stunning. Visitors are welcome all days of the week. The acoustics are excellent so check out the website for music programs to go listen to.

This magnificent rennaissance-revival Cathedral Basilica is one of the treasures of the city, and a look inside tells us why. The interior emanates the power of the Catholic Church here in the city on the Mississippi, and the stunning mosaic work, seen under the soft lights sparkle magically. It is well worth a visit, offering beauty, spirituality and gorgeous artwork... More

We were able to walk around the cathedral and the outside was awesome! However, if you want to go inside you need to plan ahead. We accidentally went when there was a wedding going on, so we could not go inside.

The gorgeous mosaics are what make this cathedral unique. You could spend hours looking at all the scenes and people from the Bible and the church. A rare find in the midwest. I'm glad I went.

Well worth a visit. The architecture and interior details rival anything in Europe. It is convenient to other typical attractions- Busch Stadium, the Arch, etc.
