The Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis, the superstructure of the Cathedral was built between 1907 and 1914. The Cathedral's 100th Anniversary is being celebrated in 2014. It is known for its' beautiful interior mosaics, which took nearly 80 years to create using more than 41 million pieces of glass tesserae. The Cathedral is known for having one of the largest mosaic collections in the Western Hemisphere.

If you like amazing art. ..this is an absolute must see. Mosaics completed over 60 years. ..breathtaking. check calendar because you can only go in when there is no mass or weddings. A truly awesome monument.

Whenever in St Louis this is a must see. You are warmly welcomed by the ushers, beautifully orchestrated high mass is celebrated so reverently. Be sure to stop in the gift shop ( located right off the main entrance). Parking is abundant and a short...More

We try and visit the large cathedral in every city we visit. This was a lovely church with mosaics like you've never seen. Would definitely try and stop by for a visit.
