I love being able to see both bison and elk at such close distances but the park itself is lacking in the number of animals. Again I have to measure that against the proximity to a major city far from their natural habitat and the...More

Be on the watch, as you slowly drive through the park, for bison and elk. It's always a fun surprise when you get to see these beautiful and massive animals.

I've been to this park many times, most recently last week. Normally I see a lot of animals, but did not see one single thing on this visit. It is still lovely to drive through the park as it is quite scenic.

We learned about this park prior to our last visit. We had time to kill prior to our flight and decided to take a ride to visit Lone Elk Park. It's not to far out west and we would consider this place a hidden gem....More

We drove through Lone Elk Park this summer at lunchtime. It was really hot and we didn't see any elk, but saw a herd of Bison on the road. We also saw turkeys and a raccoon.

They have trails and lots of varying animals. Be careful because they are wild. Trails are a bit steep

Great little drive thru park. You usually get up close sighting of deer and some bison. There are areas you can sit and have a picnic if you want to.

They are open everyday at 8, enjoy! There is also a burd sanctuary on the same road, on the rightside right before Lone Elk park that has many beautiful eagles.

More like than likely yes. Unless you like stopping the car and just observing for a long time.
