This store is currently closed and combining with courthouse store. We walked all around trying to find this location and finally asked in the courthouse lobby. The store in the courthouse is now selling some levee mercantile branded goods while renovations are taking place.

Levee is a late nineteenth century, prairie-themed shop inside the Gateway Arch site, well technically it's under it, but still on site. This is an old timey themed shop that sits under the arch across from the gift shop. It is reminiscent of a store at silver dollar city or Cracker Barrel. They sell fudge, candy, and games. What I like most about the store is that some of the proceeds go to keeping the arch in top shape.

Part of the Arch experience, the Levee Mercantile is a recreation of a mercantile store at the time of Westward Expansion. It's a fully-functioning store with museum appeal as you pick up and gawk at cans, tools, and other knick-knacks of the time. Grab yourself a warm pretzel roll or scoop up taffy candies from the wooden barrels!
