The Old Cathedral is tucked away, right next to the Gateway Arch, and the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial/Old Courthouse, and is well worth the visit. It boasts a perfectly preserved interior and exterior - one can feel the history within this little church, and get...More

THis is the oldest Catholic Church west of the Mississippi. Located near the river and the Arch, it is easy to get to from the downtown area. There is a small parking lot in front, but street pay parking is near. Beautiful old historical church....More

I attended Mass and it was wonderful. The statues were beautiful. The facility encouraged quiet reflection when Mass was not occurring. Multiple opportunities were available to attend Mass.

We were seeking a church to attend Mass and found this gem just steps away from the Arch. It was a welcoming congregation and a beautiful church. The history was interesting. There is a museum, but it was not open while we were there.

Was so glad we stopped here. The mosaics on the ceiling are amazing works of art. Remember to practice good manner here as this is a working parish. Be quiet and take in the peacefulness and the art.

The Basilica of St Louis was closed when we were there on a Friday afternoon, but we still got to enjoy the external architecture.
