We visited for a special exhibit: Degas to Mucha. What a wonderful surprise! This was an exquisitely curated exhibit with items from Degas, Coro, Picasso, Mucha. They even had video of dancers from the late 1800's. Parking and the museum are free.

Even if you just have one day, this was my favorite place in St Louis (and I had 5 days). Great, interesting, beautiful modern & contemporary art museum. Staff is great and the temporary exhibits are very nicely curated and enjoyable. Don´t miss it.

Almost missed this museum. Permanent collection is unusually strong for small museum. Free. If visiting St. Louis and like modern art I would strongly suggest you not miss this one.

Lovely little art museum on the Washington University campus. Closed on Tuesday (thought that was odd because usually museums are closed on a Monday). Very helpful staff and you can wander about on your own. Visually appealing exhibit space and well worth a visit if...More
