Great place to go and explore the great outdoors. I did not realize it was such a large place and I was blown away how amazing the trails are. Word to the wise, the long trial is really long ;)

Nice museum and friendly staff. Great walking trails with scenic views. Offers events and classes. Lots of deer and other wildlife. Biggest downside is it's right near busy freeways so in some areas you will get traffic noise and on certain days and times the...More

This nature center has a few trail options, and they are all relatively quiet! I enjoy getting to see the wide variety of flowers and wildlife.

Free admission. With 4 very active children, we spent an entire afternoon on the trails. The building has several enjoyable displays/activities. We have been several times and will continue to visit.

We come here often, when we are in Springfield, and are never disappointed with either the building, bird viewing room or long trail, which we took Christmas day. The Nature Center is a gem, no matter what the weather!

Just outside of Springfield, this center provides a path to hike towards Lake Springfield. The grade is pretty steep, so I wouldn't call it easy hike in that regard. The paths aren't terribly long, but twist and wind to make an enjoyable path just outside...More
