Babler State Park is a large park with a couple paved roads going through it. It is a great place for working out. Lots of trees and shade. They have a lot of picnic tables. There are better options for hiking in the area.

Full of interesting trails. Wonderful picnic venues. And quiet shade. Off the beaten path so it is rarely crowded and privacy is almost always assured. One of our favorite Missouri state parks.

I've hiked all the trails at Babler, except for the Equestrian trail. They have something for everyone. Shorter hikes & even a nicely paved trail as well. Great place if you don't have much time, since it's in close proximity to St. Louis & surrounding...More

Tent camped here and loved loved loved the campgrounds. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful, bathhouse was immaculate, sites very well taken care of. Very secure campgrounds if you are traveling alone. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Missouri.
