So good!

I have wanted to visit Long Row Lavender Farm ever since I learned of its existence, and finally got the chance to do so today.

I went overboard on the food, wanting to try everything that had lavender in it! I started with the Lavender vanilla chai latte. Wow! Not deathly sweet, but sweet enough, and full of lovely lavender flavor. Yes, you could taste both the chai spice and the lavender.

My lunch was the Grilled Cheese on toasted sourdough, Again, wow. The bread was crispy, the cheese was gooey/melty, the two things I most desire for my grilled cheese sandwich!

I also got lavender iced tea and a piece of Lavender Lemon Bread, both of which were so good!

They had outdoor seating on their porch, but it was in the shade, and seeing that it was 60° (in December!), I wanted to sit in the sun. So, I wandered over to the stone steps at the edge of the lavender field and had my food there. It was incredible to be sitting in the sunshine eating my perfect lunch.

I did take the Lavender Lemon Bread home with me, and was happy to find that it was in a cardboard container, not Styrofoam. Thank you!

I was also happy to see that all the staff were wearing masks. Again, thank you!

I went there for the food, but they have a nice little gift shop with lots of lavender items, from food mixes to lip balm!

It’s not too far off Highway 70 in mid Missouri, so it would be an easy stop on your way through the state!

Today I drove out to Long Row Lavender for lunch with a friend. I heard about it on social media and decided to give it a try. It was a decent drive from St. Louis. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The barn (bakery and shop) is adorable. We both had the turkey bacon sandwich and lavender iced tea. The sandwich was good (not a lot of meat) but the tea was delicious. I'm not sure I've had lavender iced tea before but I would drink it again! I also had the lavender chocolate chunk cookie. Apparently I am a chocolate chip cookie purist. I did not appreciate the lavender in my cookie. It was not a good pairing for my taste buds. There were some other items on the menu that I would like to go back and try, which I will definitely do! The prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly! The shop was cute and we walked away with a few items. Overall I would suggest visiting Long Row Lavender!

Great place for a peaceful lunch

We decided to visit for lunch on short notice and it was a great decision. Lunch was very good. The chicken salad was the favorite dish after the carrot cake and lavender lemonade! The store has some really nice gift ideas. We sat outside and enjoyed the flowers. Inside there is a lovely area that can be rented out for parties of 50. Looking forward to planning a party there!!!!

Relaxing lunch in a great atmosphere

My wife and I and a friend took a scenic drive from St. Louis to visit Long Row. Of course, we were aware that the lavenders were already harvested, but we just wanted to check the place out. Great gift shop with a fantastic building. The lavender field in front of the establishment looks great. You can see that their sunflowers are going crazy. We had lunch and it was fantastic. The service was very efficient and the servers were very friendly. We had the grilled cheese sandwich and the ham and provence sandwich. Both were excellent. Lots of meat on the ham sandwich which is always a good thing. Hate when you order a sandwich and you get a few slices of meat and the rest is lettuce or whatever. This was a good ham sandwich. It also had some lavender in it which you really could not tell. We ended with a peach pie and chocolate chip cookie. Oh so yummy. Also got an Americano coffee which was very good. Priced reasonable. Will be returning for another day trip.
