Welcome to Big Sky Resort: home of the biggest skiing in America. Now, with the addition of the Moonlight Basin and Spanish Peaks terrain, Big Sky is even bigger! Towering at 11,166 feet and expanding over 5,750 skiable acres, Big Sky stands as a luxurious outpost on the edge Yellowstone's most wild country.

Only 45 minutes from Yellowstone National Park and with over 400"of annual snowfall Big Sky offers down hill skiing, snowboarding, spa getaways, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and more.

In summer the adventure continues with wildlife viewing, zipline tours, whitewater rafting, biking, hiking, horseback riding, climbing or experience our mountain safari and tram ride to the top with the legendary Lone Peak Expedition.

In short, Big Sky is where the few come to roam, live big, and experience an adventure all their own.

Love Big Sky

This is my second trip to Big Sky. I will probably do it again in another 4 years. Hardly any wait on lift lines. The area handles crowds well.

Thank you Big Sky Montana. I knew it was gonna be good, but I did nto think it will exceed all of my expectations even during spring skiing which due to schedule we must do. I much prefer February skiing but March skiing has to do for now. The snow was groomed, although I would be happier with more groomed... More

Regretfully no powder, but the area provides so many aspects. altitude and angles that managing the warming day always provided for good fast snow. Chutes from the tram had a rocky, literally, 1st 100 yards to negotiate but then the snow was good winter swish till the bottom when sun backed corn began to give way to slush! 5th visit... More

The mountain is so beautiful, the lift lines are almost non-existent, and the slopes are not at all crowded. They have so many nice amenities - mountain guides, excellent ski school, and lots of options for dining and night life. We have been coming here for over 20 years, and it has built up quite a bit. I hope they... More

Everything you read about Big Sky is right on. It is a fabulous resort and we have be fortunate to visit some of the bast sky resorts in the world. Terrain, scenery, facilities are all very nice and the people on the hill or mostly just "darn" nice. Now the "but." We are here in the spring with soft snow... More

Just flying back from Big Sky home and hard to put in words what an awesome time our group (5 adults and 2 kids age 3 and 5) had. Been to almost all the resorts out west and this is my new favorite- crazy terrain but also good selection of blues and greens for some, best ski school my kids... More

We come every year and are never disappointed. Short lines, great variety of terrain, friendly people, and something for everyone from the peak to the bunny hill. By far one of pir top 3 favorite ski resorts in North America!

Big Sky is a real treat for skiers but services and facilities are lacking compared to similar size resorts. There are a couple of huts with toilets around the mountain, but for the most part you have to return to the Mountain Village, walk down stairs, cross a plaza, and climb a flight of stairs if you want to sit... I skied BS "back in the day" when I went to school at MT Tech in Butte - 1980. This place has changed a ton since then but my son, daughter and I had a blast. The ski area is HUGE (I live in CO - nothing comes close to the size of BS) so in 2 days we saw... More
