Terrific hike. Upper part wide open and hot. Lots of buzzing cicadas. Cliffs beautiful with falcon nest sites. River approach under deep cover. Fish jumping in river.

This area is a short distance south east of Billings and is a wonderful place to getaway from the City and enjoy the great outdoors. Lots of wildflowers in Spring, wild animals, and terrific views.

The views are what make this place great, and there are Native American stories that enrich the experience of standing on the spot where momentous events occurred.
