If you want to compare this venue to the mega natural history museums of Los Angeles, Chicago, New York or Washington, D.C., you will be disappointed. But as regional musuems go, this is a gem, especially the paleo (dino, etc.) exhibits. To find a museum...More

The dinosaur exhibit was great. They had multiple T-Rex, multiple tricerotops and other species. They showed the progression and transformation of the animals as they matured from youth to adult. It was really spectacular. There was a team doing the articulation of finds brought in...More

This museum is overrated. We took our niece and nephew there and while the dinosaur exhibit was interesting it was not the grand exhibit we had been told it was. The children's area on the third floor was a joke. The children took of their...More

My husband and I took a “staycation” last fall and visited a few of the places here in Bozeman that we never have time to see. MOR is such a treasure for our “little town” in the middle of the Rockies. I can’t wait to...More

The Guitar exhibit was very interesting. The other exhibits were not bad - it is worth a couple of hour stay.

This was an awesome museum 10 years ago but they have really upped their game. Outstanding Dinosaur exhibit, lots of MT finds. The current Guitar exhibit was fun for all ages and the noon concert was very enjoyable. Had lunch at the MSU Food Truck...More

Go to the museum often. Besides the huge dinosaur collection we visit the planetarium and in the summer the outdoor farm exhibit. It also offers school programs. We're lucky to have such a place in Bozeman, MT.

The museum has a strong emphasis on Montana and the region. There is the living history farm open in summer hours and it's free. If there is a dinosaur fan in your clan this is a must stop. Lots of great displays and interactive features...More

It depends on how much the kids are into dinosaurs and the timing of the planetarium show. If it is the 'right' show the 4&6 year old might enjoy it so check the schedule and that will I think determine it. 1-2 hours
