Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University is a Smithsonian Affiliate, recognized as one of the world's finest research and history museums. It is renowned for displaying an extensive collection of dinosaur fossils, including a T. rex skeleton! MOR delights visitors with changing exhibits from around the world, permanent indoor and outdoor regional history exhibits, planetarium shows, educational programs, insightful lectures, benefit events, and a museum store. The Museum Store sells healthy snacks such as juice, yogurt, nuts, and string cheese. Snack and beverage vending machines are located in the lower lobby. There are numerous cafes and restaurants nearby.

We got to Bozeman a bit early to head straight to the airport, so we checked out this museum. It's packed with neat exhibits and a great planetarium. If you have a dinosaur lover, this would be a must-see!

My husband and I are museum aficionados and this one is a must-see if you love dinosaurs! Excellent exhibits, very informative, and perfect for families with kids as well. The planetarium show that we viewed was awesome!

Enjoyed the dinosaur exhibits the most. The crododilia exhibit was interesting, too. Got some good pics of the T-rex and others.

If you are interested in geology and paleontology don't miss this science lesson. There is also a planetarium. Great place a kids!

Even as adults we enjoyed this museum. The exhibits explain knowledge gaps in current science and the displays and specimens are truly mind blowing. We skipped the antique vehicles section and focused on the dinosaurs and native American sections instead.

This is an enjoyable and well set out museum that boasts one of the best dinosaur exhibits - most sourced locally in Montana - in the world. They have local native American section and current section on crocodiles.More

It depends on how much the kids are into dinosaurs and the timing of the planetarium show. If it is the 'right' show the 4&6 year old might enjoy it so check the schedule and that will I think determine it. 1-2 hours
