Don't go out of your way to see this, but if you're nearby it's worth a quick stop. It's not on par with a historic covered bridge but worth driving across and back again.

The bridge isn't very big but it is pretty and you can see up and down the river. Definitely don't let this be the only thing you check out in town, there's lots more to see and do!

This is a beautiful, historic bridge that will take you across the Missouri River, on foot, in Fort Benton. It doesn't 'go' anywhere but ends at a dead end on the other side. It's accessed via the river trail, which is worth doing as well....More

I write a lot of reviews, often prompted by Trip Advisors to review other attractions in an area where I had just visited and reviewed something else. One of the attractions that came up was The Fort Benton Bridge. How does one review a bridge?...More

Ft. Benton is such an interesting town and the bridge is a real center piece. It's a great place to walk, hang out, watch the river or take in a sunset and it's absolutely free! There is a lot more than the bridge in Ft....More

This bridge is blocked at one side so it is totally a pedestrian walking experience. You can get lovely views of the river from both directions.

There is a lovely paved walkway along the Missouri in Fort Benton, with interesting signage about the town's much rowdier past. The best part is being able to stroll across the river on an old bridge that has been converted to purely pedestrian use. There...More

This is a replacement for the original bridge but still old. It used to be a toll bridge but today you can cross it but no further--the end is fenced off. It's a good view of the Missouri where steamboats used to run.

Peaceful walk with beautiful views of the river and downtown areas. After sunset the hanging lights come on, offering a peaceful ambiance.
