Full disclosure, I am a member here, but with good reason. Their collection is unrivaled in Montana. Their exhibits are not to be missed. They tend toward the contemporary, but it's always very approachable work. I am so grateful for the Holter. I visit as often as possible.

My daughter is an amazing artist so we went to pacify her but when we got there I found out that it was really an enjoyable experience. I'd suggest it as a great time for anyone whether you love art or not.

We recently saw an art show by Bitterroot Valley artist Pam Caughey, at the Holter Museum. The lighting and gallery space were excellent. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the workj shown as well as the museum environment.

These exhibits are very nicely displayed throughout the Holter museum. there is also a chance to buy many of the art works and pottery. There is a wide variety of art. This museum can be appreciated by all levels of art lovers from beginning novices to experts.

This small museum makes good use of its few galleries. We enjoyed seeing the works of three very different artists plus an exhibit of historic motorcycles.

It's an art museum in the middle of an area not known for art. They do what they can. It's not worth going out of the way for.

Very small building (I know I should have probably expected that). If you like Charlie Russel's brand of Western Art, this is definitely for you. Beyond that there's not much else save for special exhibits - When I was there it was a motorcycle exhibit which was really cool. Free Admission (they ask for donations).

Walking through town I saw a poster advertising "The Art of the Motorcycle" at the Holter. I extended my morning stay, in order to check it out. I was not disappointed. The museum has a rotating collection of at least 3 galleries that I could see. In addition to Jimmy Wollenberg's:The Art of the Motorcycle, it included Robert Harrison: White... More
