Blacktail Mountain is our family's favorite ski hill. North facing slopes on a reverse hill make for great snow and we literally walk 30 feet from the parking lot to be on the snow. Relaxed and fun--great skiing and great attitudes!

I skied there 2 days and had great snow both days. Getting there did take longer than I thought it would but my rental (Subaru Crosstrek) didn't have any trouble with the roads. The bar upstairs is fun and the staff friendly. I was entertained by a group doing a "shotski" and celebrating a birthday with a nicely decorated birthday... More

We had a blast, we have been twice now. In our group we have all levels of skiers and there was something for all of us to enjoy. The views are epic. The staff is friendly and there is a warm fire on the second level. Oh and did I mention a bar upstairs?! Good micro brews, bartender was a... More

This was our first visit, and was it a perfect day. Cold, brt the sun was shinning so there were big smiles on our face. Very reasonably priced, and not at all crowded. Plenty of good skiing for adults and kids, with a kids learn to ski school just out the back door of the lodge. Muley's is the ski... More

The roads were completely snowed/iced over. Which makes sense-- you're on a mountain. We have a beefed up SUV so it was fine but I could easily see it being not so great for a small little car. Also, the roads were pretty narrow so it made oncoming traffic interesting. The ski area, lodge, and parking lot are all at... More

What a wonderful place! Nothing pretentious here. The staff is very friendly and always has a smile to share, even the lift operators standing in 5 degree weather. The skiing is great with no lines. The Surrounding scenery is majestic.

We had two great days skiing at Blacktail. Both days we had fresh groomed runs all day as the resort was very quiet. My 10 year old son had a great ski lesson with Marissa and he was lucky enough to get a private lesson even though we booked for a group lesson. All the lifties were really friendly and... More

Blacktail is far from being the biggest ski hill in the west but is likely the friendliest. It's has runs with a variety of difficulty as well as terrain parks, lifts with seldom a wait and friendly staff.

I must admit I was VERY surprised. I have skid all over the world but I have never found such a down to earth resort that is so family friendly. Every staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was delightful. OK the runs may not be as long as other resorts, but the tickets were way cheaper. Time it... More
