Lots of memorabilia about the building of the rail road to Livingston and the opening of the Yellowstone National Park. You really get an appreciation of just how tough it was for those pioneer men and women. Upstairs a collection of posters and photos about...More

As a kid I would take the train from MN to Livingston every summer and stopped at this depot. They have done an excellent job creating this museum to the RR past. Worth a visit.

We have been to the Depot several times in the past 3 months for local fundraisers and a wedding. It is a beautiful venue.

We are not classic train buffs, but found plenty of interesting displays to entertain us. This museum is open part of the year only, then it rents out to weddings & events, so check before you go.

A second visit for us, and we again were pleased with the place and with those staffing it. Friendly, informative and interesting. We picnicked and watched trains, enjoying our visit inside and out. Save your ticket for a discount at the Yellowstone Gateway Museum.
